Shaquille O’Neal responds to ‘scared’ Big Show’s threats (vid)
If it were up to Shaquille O’Neal, the NBA superstar-turned-analyst will soon find himself once again in the squared circle with Big Show.
O’Neal surprised wrestling fans by participating in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 32 earlier this month, during which he and Big Show renewed their rivalry.
O’Neal then said after the battle royal that he’s ready to face Big Show “whenever wherever,” perhaps at Wrestlemania 33 next year.
The legendary wrestler responded in kind, throwing down the gauntlet this week when he threatened to “slap Shaq’s sloppy eye straight,” sarcastically suggesting it would help O’Neal “make some free throws” before he deviated from the script and actually complimented his so-called enemy.
But in another video, Big Show was back in full-on smack-talk mode.
“Do I look scared?” Big Show responded to O’Neal’s earlier suggestion of a one-on-one showdown.
TMZ caught up with the NBA on TNT analyst and asked what he thought of Big Show’s big talk. Not surprisingly, O’Neal wasn’t about to back down.
“Big Show: I’m coming for you, baby,” O’Neal said.
Whether a showdown between these two very large men could ever come to fruition, O’Neal said that decision lies with other people.
“It’s not up to me, it’s up to Vince and Shane McMahon,” O’Neal said before closing out the brief encounter with the TMZ staffer by insisting Big Show is “scared.”
Oh, it’s on. It’s on like Donkey Kong. Or something.
