Colts punter Pat McAfee makes hilarious offer to J.J. Watt

J.J. Watt has been in the headlines of late for not only his recent “date” with Kate Hudson but also for how he’s hinted that he doesn’t intend overstay his welcome in the NFL, suggesting he may retire far earlier than many would suspect.

The Houston Texans’ all-world defensive player, who also recently revealed how last season was the “most strenuous” for him from a physical standpoint in his time in the NFL, took to Twitter on Wednesday to allude to the only way he envisions himself having an extremely lengthy pro football career.

A certain someone who could provide a valuable service related to Watt’s hypothetical musings about punting just so happened to see the NFL star’s post: Indianapolis Colts punter Pat McAfee, who took to Twitter as well to make Watt a hilarious offer.

Given that Watt has dominated the Texans’ AFC South rival — to the tune of nine sacks in 10 games against the Colts — it’s a brilliant suggestion by McAfee. But let’s just say Watt won’t be taking up the punter on his offer.

It merits noting that McAfee is something of a quirky personality, a trait routinely found among those at his position. But this particular punter actually takes it a step further, as McAfee gave the world of stand-up comedy a shot and continues to do so in his spare time.
