Ernie Els has the yips again, seven-putts first hole at Masters (vid)
Ernie Els made history he probably would have preferred not to make when it required him an unbelievable seven putts to get off the green on the first hole, notching himself a 10 and almost putting himself out of the tournament before he scarcely got started.
Els’ history with the putting yips are well documented, but what happened Thursday at Augusta National Golf Club was unfathomable.
As noted by Devil Ball Golf, the 10 notched by Els is the worst score ever on the par-4 first hole at the Masters and the fifth-worst score at the esteemed major all-time.
Great googly moogly.
