107-year-old Virginia McLaurin dances with Globetrotters (vid)

Virginia McLaurin, the charming centenarian who became a sensation after her wish was granted to meet Barack and Michelle Obama — and then danced with the First Couple — stole the show again on Tuesday when she showcased her moves with the Harlem Globetrotters and also demonstrated some skills by spinning a basketball on her finger.

McLaurin, who celebrated her 107th birthday on Saturday, was presented with a personalized No. 107 jersey by Globetrotters stars Moose Weekes and Zeus McClurkin during the meet-and-greet at Washington, D.C.’s Roots Public Charter School, where still volunteers up to 40 hours every week.

In honor of McLaurin, the Globetrotters gave away 107 tickets to students for an upcoming game while praising the 107-year-old for her many qualities.

“Really excited about it,” McLaurin said about meeting the Globetrotters, via D.C. Sports Bog. “I didn’t think I’d ever get the chance to meet them, but I always watched them and I used to try to do what they did with the ball … but it didn’t work.”

Nothing a little coaching from the Globetrotters couldn’t correct, that much is clear.
