Yoenis Cespedes shows up in Alfa Romeo after saying he’s out of cars (pics)
The biggest non-story story line to emerge from spring training — or at least the one garnering the most attention, however silly that may be (although writing about it alone reveals a level of complicity) — is how New York Mets slugger Yoenis Cespedes has been rolling into the Tradition Field parking lot in Port St. Lucie, Fla., in a different luxury ride every day.
First it was an over-the-top F250. Up next was a bizarrely awesome, custom red and gray Avorza Polaris Slingshot. Then came the $300,000-plus Lamborghini Aventador on Wednesday.
Cespedes indicated to a New York scribe when asked what sweet ride he’s be showing off next that he has plum ran out of automobiles, meaning the cavalcade of costly cars had come to an end (via The Big Lead):
I asked Cespedes what he's going to drive tomorrow: "I don't have no more cars, that's it," he said.

Despite the slugger’s claims, it appears that wasn’t the case, as Cespedes in fact glamorously arrived at spring training Thursday in what looks to be a pretty spendy Alfa Romeo (via NJ.com):
Cespedes had to arrive early today for a physical, so I guess he had to get here fast. This is an Alfa Romeo. #Mets pic.twitter.com/G8L6wYBArI

But that has to be it, right? After saying on Wednesday that was it then managing to track down one more high-priced auto, there’s no way Cespedes is simply trolling the masses, right?
Wondering what @ynscspds will drive to Spring Training Friday? I promise it will blow your minds. Get ready. #Avorza pic.twitter.com/CePtzMbsnL

It looks like Cespedes has at least one more trick up his sleeve.
