New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. continues to expand his reach into other interests beyond the gridiron by snagging a cameo role in an upcoming episode of the CBS drama “Code Black.”

The episode is slated to air on Feb. 10 and also features a guest-starring appearance by Beau Bridges, who plays the high school football coach of the Giant star, who appears as himself and not surprisingly is nattily attired for his role.

The episode is summarized as follows, via the Giants official site:

While headed to a Valentine’s Day charity luncheon where Beckham is being honored, Pete suffers severe abdominal pain and his concerned daughter, Mia, brings him to Angels Memorial Hospital. Beckham later arrives in the Emergency Room to convince his stubborn high school football coach to have surgery that will save his life.

And video of Beckham Jr., who refers to the “character” he portrays as a “great guy,” preparing for his scenes (via NJ.com).

Beckham Jr. of course is one of the biggest stars in the NFL but has also managed to capitalize on his football fame by increasing his visibility by becoming a major player in the marketing world. While his antics during a game last season against the Carolina Panthers involving Josh Norman were ugly and didn’t portray him in a positive light, it would seem that he still can attract the right kind of attention.
