Bryce Harper salutes Kirk Cousins with ‘You Like That’ shirt (pic)
Bryce Harper has honored a fellow D.C. sports star by wearing a t-shirt paying tribute to a now-famous line said earlier this season by Washington Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins.
The Washington Nationals slugger posted a workout photo on Instagram in which he’s sporting a shirt bearing “You Like That,” a remark Cousins screamed after the Redskins beat the Philadelphia Eagles 38-24 all the way back in October.
“‘You like that’ -Kirk Cousins,” the Harper wrote in the post before adding the hashtag, “#DCfamily.”
Harper is no stranger to wearing t-shirts bearing interesting messages (here and here), nor is he reluctant to demonstrate how hard he works during the offseason to get himself prepared for the upcoming season. It certainly looks like Harper is more-than-ready to defend his National League MVP title in 2016.
One thing that may cause Harper some semblance of regret, though, is that he didn’t think to apply for a trademark — like Cousins has done with “You like that” — to “That’s a clown question, bro,” the infamous phrase he uttered a few years back in response to a reporter’s inquiry,
