Braves bobblehead to honor Chipper Jones’ snowstorm rescue
The Atlanta Braves next season will pay tribute to how Chipper Jones ventured out during a brutal 2014 snowstorm on an ATV to rescue Freddie Freeman with a bobblehead.
The Braves first baseman found himself stranded on an Atlanta freeway for five hours due to a January snowstorm that snarled traffic. Jones was alerted to his former teammate’s troubles after Freeman tweeted about it. So, the iconic Braves player hopped on his ATV, braved the elements and came to Freeman’s rescue.
