LeBron James has awkward chat with nearly nude David Blatt
The Cleveland Cavaliers probably were feeling pretty good following Monday’s 122-100 throttling of the Toronto Raptors. And even head coach David Blatt apparently was feeling pretty loosey-goosey himself inside the team’s locker room … much to the chagrin, though, of one LeBron James.
The Akron Beacon Journal’s Jason Lloyd reports that James was summoned to Blatt’s office for a quick post-game chat. But the Cavaliers head coach apparently wasn’t dressed appropriately, at least from James’ perspective.
Blatt apparently had only a towel draped around his waist. Other than that, he was as naked as the day he was born.
“C’mon Coach,” James said. “I can’t talk to you like this.”
After speaking briefly, an evidently flustered James couldn’t hide how uncomfortable the entire situation made him.
“That man was naked,” he said.
As noted by Lloyd in his column, “Players walk around locker rooms in towels all the time. Unusual to see coaches do it, however.”
But Blatt clearly feels differently about what’s considered appropriate locker room attire for NBA head coaches. He apparently enjoys defying convention and will wear as much or as little as he deems fitting. And if that’s comes at the expense of his superstar player’s level of comfort, so be it.
