Baltimore restaurant offers Chris Davis free crab cakes for life
With conflicting reports emerging regarding the current status of the Baltimore Orioles’ seven-year, $150 million offer to Chris Davis, one area seafood joint is doing its part to convince the first baseman to stay in the so-called “Charm City.”
Jimmy’s Famous Seafood, a renowned eatery in Baltimore, has offered Davis free crab cakes for life if he stays with the Orioles. If that wasn’t a sweet — or more fittingly, savory — enough deal in its own right, the restaurant also is upping the ante by tempting the slugger with free crab cakes for his children and his grandchildren.
Please come back to the @Orioles. If you do, free #crabcakes for life. And ur kids. And their kids. pic.twitter.com/XHLr8Swa35

The restaurant sent out its crab cakes-for-life (and beyond) offer via both its Facebook and Twitter accounts.
“Dear Chris Davis, Please come back to the #Orioles. If you do, free #crabcakes for life. And your kids. And their kids,” the posts read, via the Baltimore Sun.
The reported offer — ESPN has cited unnamed sources who indicated the Orioles have pulled the offer, as noted by Big League Stew — works out to about $21.42 million per year. Davis of course would never be hurting for money with that kind of income, something that renders the restaurant’s offer arguably less enticing. But at the same time, we’re talking about free crab cakes for life here. Yum.
