Packers fans blaming Olivia Munn for Aaron Rodgers’ struggles

At least a handful of conspiracy-loving Green Bay Packers fans have found their scapegoat for not only Aaron Rodgers’ struggles, but the team’s three-game losing streak as well: Olivia Munn, the star quarterback’s longtime actress girlfriend.

The online comments section of an article about the Packers on the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel’s website was chock-full of theories, speculation and conjecture as to what is causing Green Bay’s recent slide. And while some commenters suggested more logical, reasonable and realistic reasons, one diatribe in particular laid the blame solely on Munn, specifically how she once discussed the couple’s lovemaking habits.

“Ever since it came out about Olivia Munn and Rodgers, and her spouting off on TV about their sex life, Rodgers is NOT a good QB. The team used to glorify God, but now there is not mention of Him from any of them. I believe God has taken His hand off of the Packers players. None of them are worth a hoot at this time.”

The allusion to Munn “spouting off on TV about their sex life” stems from an appearance by the actress on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live” program, during which she was asked if the couple have sex on game day. Munn said they do not but then was pressed more about the tawdry topic, specifically concerning the timing of things.

“There’s no rules, by the way,” she said. “It’s just doesn’t happen usually because there’s a lot to do. But usually yes. I try to have sex as much as I can.”

Sadly, but perhaps not shockingly (given how fans can be at times), this isn’t the first time Rodgers’ relationship with Munn has been blamed for his struggles. About the same time Rodgers delivered his famous “R-E-L-A-X” speech last season, he was asked if his love life was having a negative impact upon his play. Rodgers deemed such talk “idiotic.”

Odds are the Packers quarterback would feel the same way about the ridiculous chatter presently occurring on message boards and social media concerning his relationship with Munn as well. And rightfully so.
