Trail Blazers honor Umpqua Community College shooting victims (pic)
The Portland Trail Blazers donned shirts during pregame warm-ups ahead of their exhibition season opener against the Sacramento Kings in solemn memory of the tragedy that played out last week Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Ore.
The shirts, which featured the outline of Oregon, a small heart and UCC, were worn by both players and coaches. A moment of silence was also held prior to tip-off.

While it certainly won’t have a huge impact on those still left reeling by the shootings, it was nevertheless a thoughtful act on the part of the Trail Blazers.
