Dodgers pitcher annoyed by ‘Fuller House’ scene interrupting game

There must be some segments of the population thrilled by how sitcom “Full House” is being treated to a spinoff. But Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Brett Anderson definitely does not belong in that group. At least when said spinoff of the cheesy 80s-90s sitcom interrupts a game in which he is pitching.

Anderson was pretty miffed after Thursday’s game against the San Francisco Giants AT&T Park over how the filming of a scene for the upcoming “Fuller House” served as an annoying interruption.

The awkwardness of it all played out during the Seventh Inning Stretch when Stephanie Tanner, portrayed by actress Jodie Sweeten, runs out onto the field and interacts with Hunter Pence before busting out a rendition of “Take Me Out to the Ball Game.”

Anderson was on the mound at the time and didn’t appreciate the surreal interruption.

“I didn’t know what the hell that was,” Anderson told The Los Angeles Times. “That was terrible. I didn’t know if that was serious or what was happening.

“I thought it was just her being awful at singing. I had to collect myself there for a second.”

For what it’s worth, Anderson’s teammate, Andre Ethier, didn’t seem to mind the “Fuller House” cast being at the stadium.

When asked if he was a fan of the show, Anderson delivered a pretty good quip.

“I was,” he said, before adding, “but I never watched it while I was pitching.”

Fair enough. In other words, when it comes to “Everywhere you look,” for Anderson, it was an annoying “Fuller House” cast member bugging the heck out of him instead of a heart or a hand to hold onto.
