Ndamukong Suh treats fellow defensive linemen to recliners for meetings
Ndamukong Suh may not be held in high regard by his opponents due to his purported use of cheap shots and history of arguably dirty play. But his teammates? They could not like the guy more.
His teammates along the Miami Dolphins defensive line at least should feel that way after Suh bought them all recliners in which they can lean back and relax during meetings in sublime comfort.
And Suh didn’t skimp, either. He went La-Z-Boy all the way.
“That’s very big of him,” said teammate Cameron Wake, via the Miami Herald. ” We’re here more than we’re home.”
Perhaps the fact that Suh wasn’t fined for how he seemed to kick the helmet off the head of Washington Redskins running back Alfred Morris freed up some cash for the recliners. Then again, the six-year, $114 million deal he signed in the offseason means he wasn’t living check to check, either, by any means.
It’s all well and good and very generous of Suh, but something tells me the gesture could backfire should any of Suh’s teammates be soothed into a snooze when the lights are low and the game film is running. After all, it wouldn’t be the first time someone was caught napping when they should have been working after being gifted a comfy chair. Then again, that occurred during a “Seinfeld” episode, so there you go.
