Leah Still gets her own special edition Wheaties box (photo)
Leah Still, the daughter of Cincinnati Bengals defensive lineman Devon Still, has received a tribute befitting how she has captivated the nation with her bravery and inspired and touched those she has never met with her dignity in the face of a serious illness:
She got her own Wheaties box.
Still on Tuesday posted a photograph to Instagram of a framed version of his five-year-old daughter’s star turn on the General Mills cereal’s box cover, writing, “Thanks @wheatiescereal in the words straight out of Leah’s mouth, this is so awesome!! #LeahStrong #StillStrong”
The young Still has become much more than an inspirational figure with how she has carried herself as she publicly battled Stage 4 neuroblastoma since being diagnosed last year. Despite doctors only giving her a 50-50 chance of survival at the time of her diagnosis, her father indicated in March that Leah’s cancer is in remission.
Leah Still: Not only a “Wheaties Champion”, but a true champion, to be sure. And if anyone deserves to get their own Wheaties box, it is most certainly her.
