Adorable baby Royals fan does best Johnny Cueto impression (photo)
To say that Kansas City Royals fans were awaiting Johnny Cueto’s first start at Kauffman Stadium on Monday night with eager anticipation would be a drastic understatement.
Cueto didn’t disappoint, either, dazzling the hometown crowd with a four-hit, eight-strikeout, complete-game shutout to lead the Royals to a 4-0 win over the Detroit Tigers.
But even before he toed the rubber and mowed down the Tigers lineup, the buzz inside the ballpark was palatable. This was further illustrated by the fact several in attendance — including Royals mascot Sluggerrr — decided to celebrate Cueto’s trademark dreadlocks in a myriad ways.
From sporting artificial dreads to a fan waving a sign that read, “FEAR THE DREADS,” Royals fans were more than ready to welcome the team’s new ace and celebrate his patented hairdo.
But most adorable of all by a wide margin was “Baby Cueto.” Rocking a Royals jersey and sporting a very Cueto-like hairstyle, this little youngster stole the show.
