LeBron James, Dwyane Wade spotted vacationing in Bahamas (pic)

LeBron James and Dwyane Wade have been spotted along with their wives getting some R&R while vacationing in the Bahamas, which is pretty much it. But that won’t prevent the floating of speculation that this could be a replay of the meet-and-greet King James conducted with Kevin Love right before the forward decided to remain in the Cavaliers’ fold by signing a five-year, $110 million deal.

The only difference between James hanging with Wade in the Bahamas and his poolside summit with Love is the latter proved to be a fruitful endeavor as it relates to the makeup of the Cavaliers roster while the former has no relevance whatsoever to where D-Wade may end up next season, as there is virtually no chance he joins forces with James once again.

Wade of course opted out of his contract with the Heat, declining a player-option that would have paid him $16.1 million, a number to which the longtime Miami player purportedly scoffed. Initial reports speculated that Wade may seek what could be the final contract of his career elsewhere, but a Wednesday report from Yahoo Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski now indicates that Wade and the Heat “are progressing in talks on a likely multi-year deal.”

After Northeast Ohio Media Group confirmed that the former teammates and longtime pals were indeed at the Atlantis resort in the Bahamas on Wednesday, Joe Varndon offered up this nugget that essentially deep-sixes any notion of Wade coming to Cleveland: The “Cavs are so far over the salary cap (they spent north of $230 million to re-sign their own free agents Wednesday, and James is not yet signed) that the most they can offer Wade is about $3.3 million.”

Here’s some pics snapped by a fellow vacationer of the James, Wade and wives.

So, what we have here is two pals enjoying some downtime with their better halves. Also worth noting: Chris Paul, Carmelo Anthony and their spouses reportedly also are expected to join the couples retreat in paradise. So there’s that, too.
