Miguel Cabrera digs cut of young Indians fan’s jib, gives him bat, gloves (vids)

Miguel Cabrera may have converted a young Cleveland Indians fan into a Miggy Maniac after a delightful interaction in which the youngster impressed the Detroit Tigers slugger with a slick catch and then some even slicker smack talk.

The fan snagged a foul ball down the first base line off the bat of Jason Kipnis utilizing only his Indians cap, after which he appeared to be doing a whole lot of mugging while dropping some trash talk directed at Cabrera, something that left the Tigers first baseman clearly impressed, as he pounded his chest in appreciation.

But it didn’t end there, as Cabrera later walked down the line and gave the kid a bat and batting gloves to show there were no hard feelings over the lad playfully showing up the slugger.

As the announcers state in the video, Cabrera probably made a fan for life, all the more impressive given the youngster roots for a division rival of the Tigers. Good stuff.

In the end, Cabrera’s Tigers beat trash-talking youngster’s Indians by a score of 7-3. But that probably did little to spoil the kid’s night.
