Robert Griffin III introduces newborn daughter Reese Ann to the world (pic)
Robert Griffin III took to social media on Thursday to introduce the world to his newborn daughter. The first child of the Washington Redskins quarterback and wife Rebecca Liddicoat, the couple named the seven-pound, nine-ounce little bundle of joy Reese Ann.
As RG3 is wont to do on social media, he invented a clever new hashtag for his baby daughter, fittingly, #ReeseAnn. As noted by D.C. Sports Bog, the new hashtag replaces the one RG3 was using since announcing he and his wife were expecting,#BoyOrGirl.
Griffin previously noted that had the baby been born a boy, he would have been named RG4. Thankfully, he didn’t decide to go with that name anyway despite the baby being born a girl.
The quarterback also referenced a Bible verse, Jeremiah 29:11, in his tweet announcing the good news. It reads, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Seems fitting. He also reiterated a thought expressed in his original tweet revealing the pregnancy, writing that Reese Ann is a “Life Changer.”
Congratulations to the Griffin family.
