Peyton Manning poses with NY cop, referred to as ‘Eli’s brother’ in tweet (pic)
Peyton Manning may be considered the most prolific quarterback in his family, but New Yorkers obviously are much more inclined to favor brother Eli, even when coming face-to-face with the Denver Broncos signal-caller.
Older brother Peyton was visiting Eli’s stomping grounds to take part in David Letterman’s final taping of “The Late Show” on Wednesday and he took some time to pose for a photograph outside the Ed Sullivan Theater with one of New York’s Finest, Deputy Inspector John B. Hart.
But instead of being blown away by being in the presence of Peyton, Hart instead alluded to how he was posing alongside the brother of the New York Giants quarterback.
“As a Giant fan I got to spend a moment with Eli’s brother at Letterman’s last show #Peytonmanning #DavidLetterman,” read the tweet from NYPD Midtown North’s Twitter account.
Burn. But hey, what did Peyton Manning expect? He was infringing upon his brother’s home turf, after all.
Although it’s worth noting the Broncos QB can take solace in the fact that of all the A-listers who took part in Dave’s final “Top 10 List,” Letterman seemed most impressed with Manning’s presence.
