Jim Harbaugh deems ‘Ann Arbor’s Aerial Assault’ camp a ‘QB Cage Match’

Jim Harbaugh is developing into something of a Twitter maestro since landing the head coaching job with the Michigan Wolverines, although ever since he landed in Ann Arbor he’s been a breath of fresh air on the college football landscape. His latest announcement via social media continues that trend.

Harbaugh’s satellite camps have become the subject of some talk, but for reasons made abundantly clear through the coach’s own words, a star-studded quarterback camp he’ll host right in Ann Arbor promises to quite the spectacle.

Tentatively scheduled to appear at the camp are Colin Kaepernick — Harbaugh’s one-time pupil with the 49ers — along with Jay Cutler and Jameis Winston. Josh Jackson, Tyrod Taylor, Kyle Boller, David Fales, Sean Mannion, Zac Robinson, Blake Bortles, Elvis Grbac and Denard Robinson, as noted in an mlive report.

Harbaugh announced on Wednesday that the upcoming camp, billed as an “Elite Quarterback Training School Held at the University of Michigan,” has been dubbed with the name “Ann Arbor’s Aerial Assault.”

While that moniker certainly is provocative enough, a tweet from Harbaugh indicates it will be much, much more than that.

Wow. A QB Cage Match? Intriguing. And perhaps a bit frightening. The imagery¬†used in the tweeted pic, what with the flames and and explosions and whatnot, is like a movie poster for a Michael Bay flick. Alternatively, it could be argued that it is reminiscent of an advert for a monster truck rally. “SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY!!!”

Or, you know, an actual cage match.

What a tweet, though. It really gets the juices flowing. Or something.

Although perhaps anything tweeted by Harbaugh at this point should be all that surprising. After all, this is the guy who once tweeted the words, “Attacking this day with Enthusiasm Unknown to Mankind.” Indeed.
