In another installment of “Internet That’s Incredible (But There’s Gotta Be Something More Worthwhile To Do),” a young NBA fan demonstrates how he can pull of the impressive demonstration of photographic memory when he rattles off each and every player on each and every NBA roster.

The young man, who goes by the fitting moniker, “InsaneMemoryGuy,” posted the video on YouTube last week of him it is beginning to garner the attention of such prominent media outlets like the New York Post.

As noted by the Post, he begins with each team’s starting five and then moves onto to bench players as his friend keeps throwing names of teams at him.

“I was born with a photographic memory and always had an affinity for sports stats, numbers, rosters, etc. I kept my ‘talent’ bottled up for a while – finally felt like showing the world,” he writes in the video’s description. “I’m a huge basketball fan and I wanted to recite every single current player as of April 23, 2015 from the top of my head.”

Oh, and just to be clear, we’re just taking his word for it that he has correctly listed off every player in the league by team in rote manner. I mean, who’s going to spend the time to double-check his work? That’s as crazy as memorizing them in the first place!

It’s an amazing feat to be sure. It’s real-world use may not be readily evident — or actually exist — but that does not take away from how impressive it is for someone to be able to pull of such an insane display of memorization. More than that, all it takes in this crazy world these days is to develop a good schtick, post video online, cross your fingers and just run with it.

Kudos, “InsaneMemoryGuy.” May this be the first step in a long and fruitful career on the interwebs.
