SportsCenter anchor puts Iggy Azalea’s rap career on blast (video)
It goes without saying that Los Angeles Lakers outspoken star Nick Young and his girlfriend Iggy Azalea comprise one of the more renowned pop culture super-couples of the moment. While their credentials in their respective professions have often been questioned, as in whether or not they are worth the hype generated relative to their talent, there is no doubt that they have the public’s attention.
So much so, in fact, that “SportsCenter” anchor Robert Flores couldn’t resist taking a shot at Azalea out of nowhere during a recent broadcast of ESPN’s flagship show.
Flores dropped the hammer on the Australian-born rapper during a “What Did We Learn” segment.
“And what did we learn? We learned that according to the Lakers’ Nick Young a dolphin recently tried to kill him. So Nick while dolphins are trying to kill you, your girlfriend is trying to kill hip hop. Let’s call it even, okay?”

Boom. Roasted. Flores of course is referring to tale about how Young claims a dolphin once attempted to kill him while moving in on Azalea during a vacation due to how the marine mammal viewed him as a rival for the recording artist’s attention.
Regardless of the veracity of Young’s dolphin tale and one’s respective opinion of Azalea’s rap career, there is no doubt whatsoever that Flores delivered one vicious zinger at her expense. Ouch.
