Manny Pacquiao using his own song as entrance music for Mayweather fight (vid)
As some may know, Manny Pacquiao fancies himself something of a double threat. While the greatness of his boxing career cannot be questioned, his recent forays into the music world indicate he finds himself an equally capable singer.
Pacquiao actually is an accomplished recording artist, in a certain sense, and intends to use a song he recorded as his entrance music ahead of his ridiculously long-awaited showdown with Floyd Mayweather Jr. on May 2.
Pacquiao reportedly worked with composer Lito Camo on the previously unreleased track, entitled, “Lalaban ako para sa Pilipino,” which is translated as”I will fight for the Philippines.”
Pacquiao previously stated that he is dedicating his participation in the highly anticipated bout to his fellow Filipinos, which makes the choice of entrance song especially fitting.
And while the song surely is a passionate ode to his country, it pales in comparison to the awesomeness of his stirring and passionate rendition of “Sometimes When We Touch.”
Yeah, that’s the stuff right there.
