LeBron James makes cameo in trailer for Judd Apatow’s ‘Trainwreck’ (video)
Filmmaker extraordinaire Judd Apatow last May announced that none other than LeBron James would be making an appearance in his upcoming flick, “Trainwreck,” written by and starring Amy Schumer.
The talented comedian and star of her own Comedy Central hit, “Inside Amy Schumer,” posted a trailer on Twitter Wednesday for the movie, which is scheduled to hit theaters on July 17.
James’ role in the film is tangential at best, and is listed as playing the role of “Himself” on IMDb. So it’s suffice to say he didn’t feel compelled to resort on any method acting techniques, nor was he forced to flex his thespian muscles during his scene (or scenes).
Schumer posted several photos months back from the shoot, one of which that features her posing with James, to whom she refers to as “My favorite actor.”
Flattery will get you everywhere in Hollywood, even if it involves an NBA superstar, apparently.
