Marshawn Lynch at Super Bowl Media Day: ‘I’m here so I won’t get fined’ (video)
In a development that should come as a surprise to no one, Marshawn Lynch was his typical, uncooperative self during his abrupt appearance at Super Bowl XLIX Media Day.
Repeating over and over that the only reason he chose to attend the dog and pony show is so he wouldn’t get fined by the NFL — he already has been fined $100,000 alone for his stubborn refusal to comply with league policies dictating how players are required to make themselves available to the media — Lynch stayed for the required amount of time before standing up and shuffling off along on his merry — or better put, annoyed — way.
Some videos from the wild and crazy — and repetitive — ride that was Marshawn Lynch’s appearance at Super Bowl Media Day.
He also warned the assembled media throng that time was running short for them to ask questions that he would not answer other than repeating his mantra, “I’m here so I won’t get fined.” Which was nice.
But it wasn’t all repetition. Lynch, at one point, seemed to see someone he found attractive.
But despite the steadfast shenanigans, appears that Lynch did just enough to avoid running afoul of the NFL.
Per NFL PR, players don't need to be there the whole time. Marshawn Lynch may be OK on this one. League was monitoring.

It leaves one to wonder why the NFL forces Lynch and other players participate in such a charade if they can get by doing what Lynch did on Tuesday, which essentially was a demonstration of feigned obedience. There’s got to be a better way.
Let’s just hope Lynch conducts another interview with Deion Sanders. If it’s anything like last year’s version, it would be a real treat.
