Metallica does ceremonial puck drop at Sharks game, receive custom jerseys (pics)
James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich and Robert Trujillo of Metallica were in the house at “The Shark Tank” Wednesday night as the San Jose Sharks paid tribute to the legendary band during the team’s game against the Los Angeles Kings.
The fellas, three-fourths of the band — Kirk Hammett was not present — took part in the ceremonial puck drop.

The guys stuck around to cheer on the Sharks as the home team beat its divisional rival by a score of 4-2. Each band member was presented with a customized, Metallica-themed Sharks jersey (above).
Overall, it was a great night. The team won, and the mutual admiration society that exists between Metallica and Bay Area sports teams continued.
