7-year-old ‘biggest fan’ of J.J. Watt sends Texans star autographed jersey (photo)
Houston Texans dynamo defensive lineman (and part-time tight end) J.J. Watt was on the receiving end of a role reversal recently when instead of fan asking for his autographed jersey, a delightfully confident seven-year-old fan sent the NFL superstar one.
Anthony Tarantelli, a young football player, attached a note to his autographed, game-worn jersey. It read, it its charmingly unedited form:
My name is Anthony tarantelli and I am your Biggest fan. people call me J J Because I allso play DE and TE like you. I wear numder 99 like you to. I was the most feared rusher in my league this year. I am sending you my atographed game jersy so you will know me when I an a famous NFL plaer.
your friend Anthony
Fantastic. Absolutely fantastic.
“This kid has some guts… I like it,” Watt writes on Instagram in a post attached to the above photograph.
Watt of course is having an MVP-caliber season and certainly is capturing the fancy of young and old NFL fans alike, although Tarantelli’s note shows that kids now are emulating the “Iron Man Football” tendencies of the Texans two-way football superstar.
While young Anthony may need to brush up on his grammar and spelling just a bit — and he has plenty of time for that — he has confidence and moxie in spades, something that will serve him well not only in the classroom but clearly on the football field as well.
