Von Miller’s headwear pays homage to George Costanza’s Russian sable hat (photos)
Denver Broncos defensive standout Von Miller clearly was in the mood to make an outrageous fashion statement following the team’s 24-17 win over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. That was plainly evident by the ridiculous hat he sported while doing his post-game interviews.

The hat just bottles in the heat. He doesn’t even need a coat! It’s unbelievable!
It’s hard to say whether the Broncos linebacker was inspired by the Russian sable hat George Costanza sported in the classic “Seinfeld” episode, “The Chicken Roaster,” but as Jerry (in Kramer mode) said about the Russian hats Bob Sacamano sells in Battery Park for forty bucks, “The difference is negligible.”
On the other hand, George’s hat may have been of higher quality. That hot mess atop Miller’s head very well could be made from a Nutria, a kind of rat … and a poorly made one, even by rat hat standards.
