Justin Timberlake burns Twitter troll who called him ‘bandwagon’ Grizzlies fan
The Memphis Grizzlies throttled the Houston Rockets by a score of 119-93 Monday night in a match-up of two red-hot 9-1 squads. Shortly after the big win — well, as big as a win can be in November during an NBA season — pop star, actor, all-around cool guy Justin Timberlake took to Twitter to make a brief statement in support of the Grizzlies.
As is always the case, there was a Twitter troll lurking in the social media weeds, waiting to pounce with a snarky salvo of attempted comeuppance. It was a misplaced jab which Timberlake responded in kind, lowering the boom on the troll by dropping some knowledge on the misinformed smack talker.
“@JamesStendebach: "@jtimberlake: Grizzlies."
Uh… I'm from Memphis and I'm an owner. Anyone else? #WigSnatch

Boom. JT brought this troll on down to Omeletteville. Or something.
Timberlake is in fact a limited partner in ownership of the Grizzlies, buying a minority stake in the NBA franchise back in 2012, not to mention a native of Memphis, growing up in the nearby community of Shelby Forest. He is frequently spotted attending Grizzlies games with his wife of two years, actress Jessica Biel.
Suffice to say, Timberlake easily shot down any accusations of being a bandwagon Grizzlies fan with relative ease.
Also, for what it is worth, the “#WigSnatch” hashtag apparently in reference to this term.
Ultimately, the Twitter troll was a good sport about it, tweeting out a thanks for the notoriety achieved as a result of Timberlake quashing his ill-conceived attempt at ripping the star.
Well you guys have made this night eventful! THOUSANDS of hate tweets. Got to love it! Thanks again @jtimberlake for the 15 mins!
