Available on NHL Shop just in time for the holidays is a line of Ugly Christmas Sweaters paying tribute to the garish article of festive clothing.

Several NHL teams are honored with their very own themed Ugly Christmas Sweater. Meanwhile — and strangely — only two players receive the distinction of having their own ugly sweater: Washington Capitals superstar Alexander Ovechkin (above) and Los Angeles Kings netminder Jonathan Quick.

While the Capitals are also featured in the line with a team-specific sweater…

The Stanley Cup champion Kings are not. Strange.

Some other offerings from the NHL’s line of Ugly Christmas Sweaters follow.

The first style has what is deemed a “Block” theme.

And the second style is designated as “Wordmark.”

All styles and versions currently are retailing for $55.21. Get ’em while they’re hot.

The development that the NHL is selling Ugly Christmas Sweaters comes on the heels of the news that Clark Toys are selling NBA superstar-themed versions of the go-to holiday season fashion accessory, including LeBron James, among others. What a crazy world.
