Ed Davis celebrates Lakers win by roasting Charles Barkley: ‘Your fat ass can eat now’

Last week, Charles Barkley went on record — sort of — during an “Inside the NBA” broadcast last Thursday by declaring he would not eat another meal until the then 0-5 Los Angeles Lakers won a game.

“I’m not going to eat again until the Lakers win a game,” Barkley said. “I’m telling you, I’m not gonna eat another meal until the Lakers win a game. … I’m going to be like I’m at Guantanamo Bay. I am not going to eat until the Lakers win a game. I’m going to drink water … [and] vodka. I’ve got to have my carbs and protein.”

Well, the Lakers finally notched its first victory of the season on Sunday night, outscoring the Charlotte Hornets 65-41 for a 107-92 victory.

In light of Sir Charles’ inflammatory pledge, Ed Davis, who had 10 points and five rebounds in the win, took to Twitter to take Barkley to task for his comments, and the Lakers power forward did not mince his words when slamming Barkley.

Lakers guard Jeremy Lin similarly used Twitter to comment on Barkley’s so-called fasting.

Much nicer.
