Eric Decker’s wife, Jessie James Decker, puts Jets ‘haters’ on blast on Twitter

Earlier on Thursday it was noted how it was an ill-advised decision for Eric Decker to petition New York Jets fans on Twitter about why they love the 1-7 team. It had Bad Idea Jeans written all over it, and Jets fans responded pretty much how one would expect them to react, as there really isn’t much to love about the Jets during this  miserable season. In other words, it got ugly.

Despite a smattering of positive replies to Decker’s inquiry, the wideout’s wife, country music singer Jessie James Decker, took to Twitter herself to lambast the Jets fans who cruelly seized the opportunity to savage the team despite the best social media intentions of her hubby.

It’s fair enough for Decker to defend her husband, but it is probably not the best idea to insinuate that Decker doesn’t care about the opinion of frustrated Jets fans — even snarky ones —  as he laughs his ass off all the way home, despite the terrible season the Jets are plodding through.

After expressing dismay via tweet about how “People are so overly dramatic,” Mrs. Decker later attempted to clarify her remarks, though, writing that her criticism was directed at haters and not all Jets fans in a series of tweets since deleted.

She also retweeted comments from fans who expressed support for she and her husband, although one has to assume there was a litany of negative reactions to her calling out all the haters.

Decker’s better half should have recognized before launching her social media missive that more good can come from bad by challenging and then engaging the so-called “haters” on Twitter. It is usually a losing battle, despite a person’s best efforts to clarify their remarks after the fact.
