Alexander Ovechkin hangs out with Brad Pitt at D.C. premiere of ‘Fury’ (photos)
Alexander Ovechkin and Washington Capitals teammates Evgeny Kuznetsov and Dmitry Orlov were among the many luminaries who strolled the red carpet while attending the premiere of “Fury” at the Newseum in Washington, D.C. during a special screening on Wednesday night.
While hobnobbing with the beautiful people, Ovechkin and his teammates ran into who else but Brad Pitt, the star of the World War II epic.
Ovi, wearing a dapper suit but apparently not bothering to comb his hair before attending the soiree, posed with Pitt and posted a photo to Instagram (above) that documented the meeting of Hollywood megawatt superstar and Russian mega-talented rink rat.
Ovechkin, Kuznetsov and Orlov later presented Pitt with a personalized Capitals jersey, providing another opportunity for a photo-op.
It wasn’t enough to simply bask in Pitt’s glory, though, for Kuznetsov, who snapped a selfie with the actor in the background.
Clearly, a good time was had by one and all. The Capitals players got the chance to meet a true silver screen living legend and Pitt got a hockey jersey. Everybody wins!
