Drop-dead gorgeous Ana Ivanovic: ‘I don’t meet too many guys’ (photos)
At 26 years old and after 11 years as a professional on the women’s tennis circuit, Ana Ivanovic remains on top of her game. At No. 8 in the WTA Rankings, the Serbian stunner has one Grand Slam title on her résumé — the 2008 French Open — and once ascended to a No. 1 WTA ranking in the same year.
However, even though she has remained a dominant force on the court, Ivanovic shockingly hasn’t been the luckiest in love. Despite being romantically connected to German soccer star Bastian Schweinsteiger in previous months as well as some high-profile romances with Spanish tennis player Fernando Verdasco and Aussie golfer Adam Scott, the drop-dead gorgeous Ivanovic acknowledges to BELLA magazine that a professional tennis career, with all the travel, training and tournaments, makes it incredibly difficult to maintain a relationship.
In fact, the demands of tennis make it difficult for Ivanovic to even meet men.
She touches on that particular aspect of her personal life in an interview published in BELLA’s fall issue (via Mail Online):
“One of the downsides of the job is that I am travelling so much, and I don’t have so much time to go out and socialise, as people who have a more traditional job might do, so it’s hard.
“I don’t meet too many guys.”
While it makes perfect sense that a tennis career can make meeting guys challenging, odds are there are throngs of men at each spot on the WTA Tour that would like to meet Ivanovic … probably just not the right type of guys.
