Seahawks CB DeShawn Shead proposes to girlfriend at midfield after win (pics/vid)
The Seattle Seahawks as a whole had plenty to celebrate after barely holding off the Denver Broncos, winning 26-20 in overtime, after Peyton Manning and company staged a furious comeback. But one member of the team had another, extra-special reason to feel pretty good while basking in the glow of a hard-fought victory.
Seahawks backup cornerback DeShawn Shead used Century Link Field as a backdrop to propose to his girlfriend Jessica, getting down on bended knee of the Seahawks logo at midfield to ask for her hand in marriage. She said yes.
The official Twitter account of the Seahawks even congratulated the newly betrothed couple shortly afterward, noting that Shead’s fellow “Legion of Boom” members were on hand.

NBC Sports reporter Alex Flanagan had a front-row seat to the proposal, posting the image above and photo and video below to her Twitter account.

Shead later took to Instagram to post a photograph of the two celebrating while Jessica shows off the ring.
Congrats to the couple.
