Ravens fans come out in droves for team’s Ray Rice jersey exchange (photos)
The Baltimore Ravens announced last week that the team would be offering a Ray Rice jersey exchange at some point in the near future so fans could even further distance themselves from the disgraced former running back.

While there were some conditions (above) that had to be met in order to actually be allowed to trade in their Rice jersey, fans came out in great numbers Friday, lining up outside the team pro shop at M&T Bank Stadium for the opportunity to get rid of their once-treasured piece of wearable Rice memorabilia. Fans have been posting evidence of the turnout to social media all Friday morning.

While there were some boorish fans who have been showing up to Ravens games this season sporting Ray Rice jerseys, the turnout on Friday convincingly demonstrates that most Ravens fans want to move on, forget about Rice and get on with cheering on their favorite NFL team, free of shame and embarrassment.
This is not the first time an NFL team has done this kind of thing. The New England Patriots offered a similar promotion/deal when attempting to sever ties with accused murderer Aaron Hernandez last season.
