Dan Snyder sends Kevin Durant game ball after NBA star attends Redskins game (photo)
It’s hardly surprising that Kevin Durant is a pretty passionate fan of D.C. sports. He hails from nearby Rockville, Md., and often professes his love for the pro sports teams he grew up watching.
Durant was in attendance last Sunday for the Washington Redskins’ 41-10 drubbing of the awful Jacksonville Jaguars.
Clad in a RG3 jersey, KD cheered on the RG3-less Redskins (above), a development that apparently did not go unnoticed by owner Dan Snyder.
Durant took to Instagram on Thursday to showcase a keepsake sent to him by Snyder: A Redskins game ball, bearing his name and the lopsided outcome of the game.
Nice. Of course, Durant’s allegiances to D.C. sports is not limited to the Redskins. He’s got love for the Nationals, too.
Durant also on Thursday posted a photograph to Instagram in which he shows off his custom Nats jersey, perhaps to commemorate the Nationals winning the National League East earlier this week.
When it comes to D.C. teams, Durant says it loud and wears it proud.
