Lexi Thompson all grown up in photo shoot for GolfPunk Magazine (pics)

Lexi Thompson has been a figure in professional golf since she qualified for the U.S. Women’s Open at the age of 12 in 2007. In 2011, she became the youngest-ever winner of an LPGA tournament, the┬áNavistar LPGA Classic, at the age 16 years, seven months, and eight days. She officially joined the LPGA in 2012.

In her remarkably impressive start to her career, Thompson already notched six professional wins, four on the LPGA Tour, including her first career major victory at the 2014 Kraft Nabisco Championship in April.

And now, at the age of 19, Thompson appears ready to announce to the world that she’s all grown up, as evidenced by the semi-sultry photo shoot — at least for the world of women’s golf — she recently did for the latest issue of GolfPunk Magazine.

Thompson posted some pics from the shoot to Instagram.

As stated above, the photos are semi-sultry at best, and Thompson has every right to participate in such a thing, so long as she feels comfortable with it.

As Devil Ball Golf notes, this isn’t Thompson’s first go-round in bikini-based appearances. She recently was spotted in a commercial for Puma called “Calling All Troublemakers,” in which she again appears in a swimsuit, in a hot tub, surrounded by two men.

Her recent forays into bikini shoots seems to indicate that Thompson is ready to shed the young phenom label she has been saddled with for years and move on from her life as child prodigy. And with that evolution into womanhood, she will continue to be a force to be reckoned with in women’s golf for years to come.
