Under Armour now boasts Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen as bigtime endorsers (video)
ESPN is reporting that Under Armour has inked Gisele Bundchen to a multiyear deal, meaning the über-supermodel joins her husband, New England Patriots superstar quarterback Tom Brady, as one of the athletic apparel outfit’s celebrity endorsers. Brady has been affiliated with the company since 2010.
Financial terms reportedly were not disclosed, but Under Armour did release a teaser video showcasing Bundchen, who will among the women headlining the company’s female-centric “I Will What I Want” campaign, joining the likes of skier Lindsey Vonn, soccer player Kelley O’Hara and tennis player Sloane Stephens, among others, according to the ESPN report.
In the video, Bundchen is shown entering an empty room save for a heavy bag while wearing Under Armour product. The teaser promises some kind of formal rollout on Sept. 4.
Bundchen’s foray out of the fashion world and into the athletic apparel world, along with Brady already becoming enmeshed in both courtesy of deals with Under Armour deals, among others on the athletics side, paired with his position as spokesperson for Ugg Australia, means the Brady-Bundchen household packs a pretty formidable 1-2 punch when it comes to high-profile promotional turns. The rather robust financial benefits entailed in their endorsement deals are implied.
