Tom Brady: ‘I have my hands on their butts probably more than their wives’
Even the dullest of metaphorical knives in metaphorical drawers obviously can deduce that Tom Brady is of course referring to the unique relationship that exists between a center and quarterback.
With Ryan Wendell being the presumed starter, two new butts have made their way into the hands of Tom Brady during New England Patriots training camp this summer: The posteriors of Dan Connolly and Bryan Stork.
Wendell reportedly is facing some tough competition from Connolly, a veteran, and Stork, the Pats’ fourth-round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft.
With Stork out with an injury for some time, Brady has been working exclusively with Connolly and Wendell for the past two weeks. Whoever the center may be that Brady finds himself under, the veteran quarterback stressed both the importance of the quarterback-center relationship and how it is one of the more unique in all of sport.
“Center-quarterback relationship is a pretty special one. I have my hands on their butts probably more than their wives,” Brady said. “You know, it’s a pretty unique trust and relationship you have.”
No ifs, ands or butts about it.
But in all seriousness, if Hey-ohhhhh!!!
