Rub-A-Dub-Dub: Mark Sanchez films Lane Johnson and Zach Ertz sharing a bath (video)

Mark Sanchez understands that under no uncertain terms that as far as his role on the Philadelphia Eagles are concerned, he is nothing more than a clipboard holder as Nick Foles orchestrates the offense as the unquestioned No. 1 Guy in Philly.

Sure, Sanchez could see some action in mop-up duty or if the horrible happens and Foles is injured, but the former starter with the New York Jets appears to be transitioning well into his role of backup quarterback.

He also appears to be transforming himself into the locker room’s resident jokester, as opposed to being the “butt” of a lot of jokes back in his Jets days, pun intended.

Sanchez’s foray into camp clown clearly is evident with a video he shared on Instagram featuring offensive tackle Lane Johnson and tight end Zach Ertz sharing a nice bath together.

It reminds me of the classic nursery rhyme, “Rub-a-Dub-Dub.” Allow me to riff.

Two men in a tub,
And who do you think they were?
The tight end,
The offensive lineman,
They both jumped out of the bath,
‘Twas enough to make them kickĀ  Sanchez’s ass.

Sanchez writes, “Had to get these boys on camera snuggling up in the Epsom salt bath… Smh … trying to hide their faces too! “2 Guys 1 Tub” starring: LANE JOHNSON and ZACH ERTZ”

Haha. What a wisenheimer. One has to question, though, the wisdom displayed by Sanchez to try to humiliate a guy whose job it is to protect the quarterback from being obliterated on sack coming off the edge. You know, if he ever sees any action this season.

At the same time, it looks like both tubbers were in on the joke and simply were fooling around as they attempted to “protect their identity.” So there you go.
