Forget a vowel, Bama fan needs to buy a clue with Wheel of Fortune Auburn shirt (pic)

Sigh. You know the saying, “Too clever for words”? An Alabama Crimson Tide fan demonstrated that he is far from it, at least in so far as his ability to make an informed dig at the Auburn Tigers by way of a t-shirt featuring what he believed to be an adept “Wheel of Fortune” zinger.

You see, the “U” in the, uh, first word, and the first “U” in “AUBURN” would have showed up along with the second “U” in “AUBURN” in the supposed “Wheel of Fortune” puzzle had a contestant bought a vowel.

This guy may want to stick to yelling “Roll Tide” and hollering the phrase on his shirt in its entirety to whoever would listen instead of trying to be clever and offending the good name of the venerable and legendary Merv Griffin Enterprises production. Even Vanna White, rumored to be one of the nicest ladies in the world, would like to slap this guy upside the head.

Seriously, this guy makes all the people in the running for the title of “Worst ‘Wheel of Fortune’ Contestant Ever” — and there’s been a lot of them over the years (look it up on YouTube) — come off like Rhodes Scholars.

Well, if Rhodes Scholars spent any of their time pondering how to best utilize a “Wheel of Fortune” reference in order to rip a fierce college football rival on a custom-made, profane shirt without screwing it up epically due to one’s ignorance of the rules of the game show.

Maybe some do, but it’s doubtful.
