Washington Nationals slugger Bryce Harper is nearing recover from thumb surgery earlier this season and expected to return to the team’s lineup sometime next week, with the reported target date being July 1.
In the interim, Harper has graduated from PS4-related rehab and is getting back up to game speed by taking part in a rehab assignment at Class A Potomac, where things reportedly are going swimmingly, as he played in the outfield and crushed a monster home run during his second game back on Tuesday.
The 21-year-old superstar was spotted wearing a pretty awesome shirt while in Potomac. It reads: “I Love Bad Pitches That’s My XXXXX Problem.”
Being a total square and old fogey, I had no idea whatsoever what the shirt was making reference to, if anything at all. But Mr. Irrelevant noted that it must be a nod to the A$AP Rocky track, “F**kin’ Problems,” so there you go. Not only is Bryce Harper a talented baseball player, he’s hip to all the cool tunes the kids are listening to these days.
Oh, that’s right. Bryce Harper is a kid. Must be a rough gig for a young buck. Fame, fortune and success at an age when most kids simply are trying to scrounge up enough scratch to hit the bar scene. Something Harper would not do, by the way. As he stated previously, his body is a temple, you dig?
