Sigh: Detroit Lions fan gets ‘2015 Super Bowl Champs’ tattoo (photos)
A Detroit Lions fan put his money where his mouth is — or, more accurately in this situation, his skin where his mouth is (that doesn’t make sense), by professing his faith in the perpetually woebegone and aimless and unsuccessful NFL organization by getting a tattoo indicating his belief that the Motor City Kitties will win Super Bowl 50 (remember, the NFL is going sans Roman numerals for the next installment of the Big Game).
Meet Dave, a clearly diehard Lions fan from Grand Blanc, Mich. On Friday, his Bad Idea Tats saga was chronicled during a broadcast of “Dave & Chuck ‘The Freak'” radio show on Detroit’s 101 WRIF-FM.
The radio jocks posted additional photos of the work-in-process experience of Dave getting “2015 Super Bowl Champs” tattoo featuring the Lombardi Trophy and the Lions logo inked into his left calf.
And the final sad, yet bold, product:
I dunno, man, while it has worked before — it turned out pretty well for the Seattle Seahawks fan who got a Super Bowl champs tattoo before last season — it also has not gone so well, either.
Most recently, a Kentucky Wildcats basketball fan got a “National Champs” tattoo before March Madness, and while the John Calipari-led Cats got oh so close, the team ultimately came up short, losing to the Connecticut Huskies in the NCAA title game.
Further complicating Dave’s attention-seeking tat is that it involves the Lions. That ain’t good. You know, because they’re the Lions. As noted by by WILX.com, the Lions have gone without a playoff victory in 22 seasons. Yeah.
