St. Louis Cardinals to hold ‘Jon Hamm Night,’ will include bobblehead (photo)
Jon Hamm, a lifelong St. Louis Cardinals fan and a Missouri native, will be honored for his dedication to his hometown ball club with his very own Bobblehead Night at Busch Stadium.
Hamm, who revealed how he has long harbored a deep-seated hatred for the New York Mets that still holds true while professing his love for the Cardinals when promoting his baseball-themed Disney film, “Million Dollar Arm,” will be the guest of honor at “Jon Hamm Night” on Aug. 18.
Not only will Jon Hamm Bobbleheads be given out, the “Mad Men” star will also throw out the first pitch before the game. Hopefully, Hamm puts in a lot of practice between now and that mid-August game. Such a manly man would be ill-served to go all 50 Cent on his ceremonial first pitch.
The Bobblehead is a remarkable representation of the actor, although a lowball with whiskey in one hand and a cigarette in the other would have been pretty awesome.
It’s difficult to differentiate between the character n Draper and the actor Jon Hamm sometimes, isn’t it? At the same time, it’s a good gig if you can get it.
As an added bonus, Hardball Talk tracked down video where Hamm eloquently articulates his love of the Cardinals and baseball in general.
