Rob Gronkowski appears on ‘Whose Line Is It Anyway?’, does Gronk stuff (video)

As reported last month, Rob Gronkowski made his heavily anticipated guest star appearance on the program, “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” in an episode of the long-running comedy show that aired on Monday on The CW.

Well, Gronk’s guest star turn was as heavily anticipated as anything that airs on The CW, but you know what I mean.

Anyway, the full-on display of Gronktonial Tendencies were on full display during the episode of improv comedy.

In one set or whatever a bit of improvisational performance is called, Gronkowski became the subject of arena rock performance by show verteran Wayne Brady and, um, some other guy. After learning that Gronk like to dance, the improv artists came up with lyrics to tout the New England Patriots tight end’s affinity for busting a move.

And here it is: Gronk doing some very Gronktonian body moving. The routine does finish up with Gronkowksi bench-pressing the, um, that other guy, which was less improv and more Gronk doing what Gronk do.

In another bit, the assigned improv revolves around Gronkowski seeking out a personal trainer. This set featured longtime show standouts Ryan Stiles and Colin Mochrie. Not surprisingly, when offered up an opportunity to make boob jokes, Gronk seized the chance, once saying that he doesn’t eat chicken breasts, only other kinds of breasts (ha-ha). And then later, when a jug of chocolate milk is produced, Gronkowski says, “Is it milk from those breasts I eat?”

Solid stuff, but it is in a way it kinda delves into a riff on cannibal humor — eating breasts (literally interpreted, at least) — something Gronk’s level of comedy expertise may not be sufficient enough to pull off.

All in all, it was a decent performance by a meathead jock not learned in the art of improvisational comedy. So let’s give Gronk a solid C+ for his efforts, which likely is an improvement on his GPA at Arizona.
