Chris Paul: Tiffani Thiessen autographed headshot the best b-day gift ever (photo)
For men of a certain age, Tiffani Amber Thiessen was the pinnacle of adolescent lust due to her star-making role as Kelly Kapowski in the cheesily brilliant “Saved by the Bell.”
Being 29, Los Angeles Clippers superstar Chris Paul may have been a bit on the younger side during the initial run of “Saved by the Bell,” as the show aired on NBC from 1989-1993. But as we all know, the show lived on — arguably too excessively — in syndication, meaning once CP3 hit CP-Puberty, the “sitcom” was still airing plenty of times throughout the day.
Speaking of Paul’s age, the point guard did celebrate that aforementioned 29th birthday last month — May 6 to be exact. Going on the assumption that Paul received the gift in question last month but was simply too busy to make note of it due to the Clippers’ run in the playoffs, the best birthday gift he ever received in all his years was given to him just recently.
Paul posted the above image of an autographed headshot of Thiessen in full-on Kapowski mode to his Instagram account on Tuesday. Along with the photo of the autograph where Thiessen wishes Paul “Happy Birthday, my dear,” Paul includes the following hashtag-heavy message: “This is easily one of the best Bday gifts I’ve ever received in my 29yrs on this Earth!!! #KellyKapowski #My1stLove #WeWereTogether #SheJustDidntKnowIt #CuzImSavedByTheBell.”
Fantastic. Sure beats my photo of the cast of “Kids Incorporated” featuring autographs of Stacy “Fergie” Ferguson and Jennifer Love Hewitt from their days on the show.
Actually, that would be a pretty awesome piece of memorabilia. You know, if it were real and stuff.
Seriously, imagine that: Fergie and Jennifer Love Hewitt were both on the 1989 season of that Saturday morning cheesy trainwreck. Huh.
Oh, and yeah, I’m old. The “Kids Incorporated” reference should have tipped you off on that one.
