Orlando Magic contest: Pick every lottery pick correctly in order, win $100K
The Orlando Magic is offering up a whopping $100,000 to anyone who can correctly predict all 14 selections in the lottery pick portion of the upcoming 2014 NBA Draft — in the correct order.
The Magic hold the 4th and 12th picks in the draft which will be held June 26 at Barclays Center.
While it certainly is a tall order, the odds of someone pulling it off are much better than the draft-related contest the St. Louis Rams held where the team would give $100,000 to any person able to correctly pick the team’s 2014 schedule. Of course, no one even came close to nailing that one.
The Magic’s contest, while somewhat attainable, has some pretty specific stipulations and rules (via ESPN.com):
- Spelling counts, so be sure to spell the names as seen on NBA.com!
- You’re guessing which player will be selected in each spot of the draft, regardless which team ends up with the selection.
- Reminder: You must live within 75 miles of Orlando, FL
Well, that last one certainly limits the people who can enter the contest. And those who do enter the contest would be well advised to utilize the copy-and-paste function when entering in the names. Bosnia’s Jusuf Nurkic certainly could trip up a few contest entries.
If more than one fan correctly picks the lottery pick-related portion of the draft, the $100,000 prize will be split among them. If no one pulls it off, the Magic reportedly will randomly award one contest entrant a pair of 2014-15 season tickets that have a value of $6,200, according to ESPN.com.
