Brothel likely second-guessing ‘free whores’ promotion in light of soccer upset

The ad wizards who came up with an odd promotion for D’Angelo Palace, a Spanish brothel/nightclub, probably were sweating like whores in church as they watched an unbelievable and unlikely outcome play out in front of their eyes as Atletico Madrid win its first Spanish Primera Division title in 18 years.

Los Colchoneros entered the season as 100/1 underdogs to win the league crown, but managed to secure it by playing to a draw against Barcelona.

You see, the marketing wizards in the employ of D’Angelo Palace, the self-proclaimed “best nightclub in Europe” — not to mention a whorehouse — published an ad in a local paper promising “free prostitutes” if Atletico Madrid won the league championship.

A little lower down the list of “offers not as crazy as promising free whores based on an outcome of a soccer match” but not a bad gig, either, was the bordello’s promise of “free drinks” for those who watched the match at the whorehouse nightclub.

Makes sense, I guess. What kind of man who frequents prostitution houses wouldn’t want to wet their whistle with some complimentary beverages before dipping their wicks for no charge? It all adds up in the win column, right? Well, at least for those type of men who enjoy the company of hookers and saw the ad and took the club up on its odd offer I guess. For the whorehouse? Nah, not so much.
